Glenelg Camp - Summer 2006

Last summer we decided to take the young people up to Glenelg in the Highlands of Scotland. By the time we'd finished organising it, more people went than stayed. We took a minibus full of people, several cars and a large van load of stuff on an eleven hour convoy. The camp was led by Graham and Rob with ministry from Ron and others, while Colin stayed behind to hold the fort and Mike organised prayer coverage.

Rather than give a point by point account of the whole thing - here is a picture gallery that kind of speaks for itself...

Oddly, for a church, we like to roll people down steep hills in big balls. Scotland has plenty of the one and we brought the other. We found a suitable spot up the glen and the locals loved it. Courtesy of SphereMania.
We also brought some other inflatables...	... et cetera. This was one of the most hilarious evenings I can remember.	And the burgers alone were worth the 900 mile round trip.	There were more civilised activities too..
... but before long we reverted to type.	I can't now remember what this game was - it wasn't football.	We visited Fort William and Loch Ness. Here we all are blocking the Caledonian Canal...	... and eventually letting some ships through.
Loch Ness is spectacular - and roughly the colour of tea.	No monsters this time, though.	Taken from the tour boat towards the River Ness - interesting effect.	A weather picture ..
